Damage Assessment Report by the National Civil Defense Institute (INDECI).

The Operations center for National Emergencies of the National Civil Defense Institute (INDECI) informed this morning that according to the reports sent by the Emergency Squad Committees of the affected area by the earthquake that struck the south coast of Peru, the amount of dead people increased to 541, and the number of injured increased to 1,090 individuals.

The total amount of destroyed dwellings increased to 39,741 as well as the number of families affected due to the quake that are now homeless.

The numbers below correspond to the Ica, Lima, Ayacucho, Junín and Huancavelica regions, being Ica the most severely struck in terms of victims and houses destroyed. According to the reports, the affected families, people and dwellings by regions are as follows:
